ما الفرق بين هذه المصطلحات ذات المعاني المتشابهة للغاية ، مع إيراد الشرح إذا أمكن .

Port: a place (seaport or airport) where people and merchandise can enter or leave a country.
ميناء

Wharf: a platform built out from the shore into the water and supported by piles; provides access to ships and boats.
رصيف الميناء

Harbor: a sheltered port where ships can take on or discharge cargo.
مرفأ

Anchorage: place for vessels to anchor.
مرسى

Dock: landing in a harbor next to a pier where ships are loaded and unloaded or repaired; may have gates to let water in or out.
حوض السفن

Pier: platform built out from the shore into the water and supported by piles; provides access to ships and boats.
رصيف ممتد فى البحر

Berth: a bed on a ship or train; usually in tiers.
‏مضجع في السفينة

Quay: wharf usually built parallel to the shoreline.
رصيف الميناء حيث تحمل السفن أو تتخلص من حمولتها

Jetty: a protective structure of stone or concrete; extends from shore into the water to prevent a beach from washing away.
مصد أمواج

Mooring: a place to tie a boat
مكان لتربيض المركب

Marina: a fancy dock for small yachts and cabin cruisers.
