I would like to share with you information about
<http://www.bila-hudood.com>Bila Hudood, a non-profit initiative I
started in 2007 that employs workers in Palestine by outsourcing
English/Arabic translation, data entry, and other web-based work to
them.

The core idea is to provide economic assistance through direct
employment of qualified knowledge workers in the West Bank and Gaza.
I hope you'll find this initiative of interest and that you'll
support it by outsourcing work to Palestine via Bila Hudood and by
recommending it to other companies and organizations.

Bila Hudood is a service that allows companies and organizations in
the Arab world and beyond to outsource text translation,
transcription, or data entry work to Palestine. By so doing,
companies receive high quality work at competitive prices while at
the same time helping the Palestinian economy.

Bila Hudood has developed a network of talented knowledge workers in
the West Bank and Gaza and is working with Birzeit University and the
Islamic University of Gaza to recruit and train additional workers.

Bila Hudood assures consistent work quality and readily available
client contact by having the account management, copy editing, and
proofreading in Dubai while the raw work is done in Palestine.

Some of Bila Hudood's recent clients include the Abu Dhabi Authority
for Culture & Heritage, Al Arabiya TV, Bayt.com, Dubai School of
Government, and Zami.com, among others.

Bila Hudood pays 60-80% of its fees (depending on the assignment)
directly to the individual knowledge workers in the West Bank and
Gaza. The payments are made monthly via NGOs there.

In 2007, Bila Hudood piloted and demonstrated the viability of its
model and work flow. In 2008, our goal is to substantially grow both
the scale and range of Bila Hudood's offerings and to positively
impact the life of hundreds of knowledge workers in Palestine.
