Late Night Nightmare
You have graduated from the university after many years, of hard work and continuous efforts. Your hard work has been culminated by earning your educational certificate with honor. There is share for every hard worker?! This is what you have told yourself, cheerful and joyful. Happiness and satisfaction have overcome yourself, for the perseverance you have put, and the results you have gotten. Like a bird that has full wings and prepared to fly away, after a long stay in its cage.
Did not want to act in haste - minding your children and their age, and your husband who were accustomed to see you by his side. So you have left it in the hands of Allah (God), to release your concern when he wishes. However, you have been trying to seize the appropriate opportunity, to put the mater in front of your life partner, to know his opinion without urgency or requesting. Like a pearl fisherman hunting seabed shells, giving it time to complete and come out clean and pure. Doubles its price, and give its fruit twice as much with the permission of its Lord.
In your inner self, you were not satisfied with that. Having planed your future, in a different way other than it is now. Surprisingly talking to yourself: After those years of worry and fatigue, end up just a simple housewife?! After that schooling you have loved with all your heart, you will be separated from it?! After those years of pain and frustration, you put your certificate on the shelf to be eaten by termite, and dust creeps onto it?! Like a cloud did not send down its rain, after blackening the air, shelling and thunder!
Your spouse once has entered one you to convey the good news, and offering a suggestion. Has said it while trying to hide a wicked smile: I have been thinking of the matter since the day of your graduation, but did not want to rush things before becoming sure of myself. After he has made you open your mouth so wide to ask him for more, said: It is not fair after you have gotten your education certificate, sitting at home and losing what you have learned by the passing of the days!
Joy was not enough, yet the full life happiness was not enough. That what you have wished for, Allah (God) has responded to your prayers. Did not take long the completion of your procedures, have been appointed in the body you want, and the section you like. Became an employee with specific work timing, and a working woman with an income waiting for at month end. Your life became more arranged and more consistent, has a meaning and an aim. After you have been sitting at home, with no difference between the days, they all the same to you. You do not wait for anything, and do not expect anything to happen.
But that is life, its suffering does not last, and its blessing does not stay for ever. Upside down your situation became, after it was consistent. Your life has changed, after it was steady. The happiness that was around you has changed, and you fall in what you were trying always to avoid. You were trying with all the power and connections, to escape from that disaster. Has happened what you were postponing, and over flown what you were trying to hide. Like someone expecting something great to happen, while not preparing to confront it, and prevent its evil.
Your agony has started, when you were requested by your superiors to work late night. Without regard to being a housewife, responsible for a spouse and children! That requires you to be present at your home at specified times, to be able to serve and provide for them. Yet work at night was not the main problem, if it was for a short period. But shift timing, was the head of every sin. How you will sustain the absence from home, not seeing your children and your husband for a long period?!
Do your children have to go to sleep without hearing your voice, and wake up without seeing your on their side?! How will the father of your children bear such a system, and how will he feel the marital life under that shift?! Many questions you must answer, or search for answers to them. You have become like who swims in a raging sea, does not know where the waves will take him!
The decision is yours, and the betting is yours. To whom you will go, and to whom you will run?! You have to think logically, after determining your priorities! You have to find a solution satisfactory to all parties, without prejudice to your right as a human been, with rights as well as duties.
