Noun that relates closely to the American idiom Hustle and Bustle. This term first appear in print in Act I Scene I of William Shakespeare's Macbeth - when one witch says to the other two present: "When shall we three meet again? In thunder, lightning or in rain?" One of the other witches replies: "When the Hurly Burlys done. When the battles lost and won."
