A good translation should fulfill the following three conditions as far as possible:p
Accuracy : iop
correct understanding of source message and transfer of meaning of the message as exactly as possible into the target language .iop
Clarity:iop
there may be several different ways of expressing the idea
Choose the way which ordinary people will understand .io
e.g asking for permission:io
is this place taken ?iop
is there any one sitting here ?iop
may I sit here ?iop
naturalness :iop
it is essential to use the natural from of the target language ,if they you want your translation to be effective and acceptable . As far as possible a translation should not sound foreign. iop
Translator is always struggling to achieve the idea in all these three areas .iop
And accuracy must have priority . iop
