باكستان: الأمم المتحدة تتهم السلطات بالتقاعس عن حماية بوتو والتحقيق في مقتلها
Pakistan: UN accuses authorities of failing to protect Benazir Bhutto and to investigate her death
اتهم تقرير لجنة التحقيق في مقتل رئيسة الوزراء الباكستانية السابقة، بنظير بوتو، السلطات الباكستانية بالتقاعس عن حمايتها و بعدم حيادية التحقيق في مقتلها.
من جهته وصف مساعد الرئيس الباكستاني السابق مشرف، التقرير "بمجموعة الأكاذيب"، و أضاف في تصريح لقناة باكستانية: أن الرئيس السابق غير مسؤول بأي شكل من الأشكال عن مقتل بوتو.
و قتلت بوتو في هجوم انتحاري استهدف تجمع انتخابي يوم 27 ديسمبر 2007 بعد أيام من عودتها إلى باكستان بعد سنوات قضتها في المنفى.
A report by the committee in charge of investigating the murder of former Pakistani prime minister, Benazir Bhutto, indicated that the Pakistani authorities failed to protect her and that the subsequent investigation was not objective.
On the other hand, the assistant of Pakistan's former President Musharraf, described the report as a bunch of lies, adding in a statement to a Pakistani station that the former president is not responsible for Bhutto's death in any way possible.
Benazir Bhutto was killed in a suicide attack which targeted an election rally on December 27, 2007, a few days after her return to Pakistan from years of exile.

ظهرت مؤخرا على الفايس بوك، صفحة نسبت لزعيم القاعدة أسامة بن لادن نشر فيها تسجيلات و خطب لمتشددين إسلاميين من إنتاج موقع "السحاب للإنتاج الإعلامي" المقرب من القاعدة.
صفحة زعيم القاعدة أطلقت عليه لقب "أمير المجاهدين" و جلبت أكثر من ألف معجب، رغم أن تاريخ إنشاءها لا يتجاوز الشهر.
يذكر أن مكافأة قدرها 16 مليون دولار وضعت لمن يدل على زعيم تنظيم القاعدة الذي يعتقد انه مختبئ في المنطقة الجبلية الواقعة بين باكستان وأفغانستان.
Recently on Facebook a page was created and attributed to Al-Qaeda leader, Osama bin Laden. The page includes recordings and speeches made by Islamic extremists and produced by Al-Sahab Media Production which is close to Al Qaeda.
Bin Laden's Facebook page, in which he is described as the Prince of Mujahideen, has attracted more than one thousand visitors in less than a month.
A reward of 16 million dollars was promised to whoever gives information regarding Al-Qaeda leader, who is believed to be hiding in the mountainous area located between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

و تضر الملاحظات التي أبداها بيريز بالحكومة السورية بشكلٍ كبير و التي كانت قد تحسنت علاقتها مع الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية خلال الأشهر القليلة الماضية و خاصةً مع تعيين سفيرٍ جديد للولايات المتحدة الأمريكية بدمشق
Israeli President Shimon Perez has accused Syria of supplying Hezbollah with long-range scud missiles.
Syria has adamantly denied the accusations, saying they were "fabrications".
Perez' remarks are highly damaging for Syria, whose relationship with the US had been improving in recent months following a new US ambassador being appointed to Damascus.
الجزائر تعتقل عميلاً للموساد لاتهامه بدخول البلاد بجواز سفر أسباني مزور
Algeria detains alleged Mossad agent with fake Spanish passport
صرحت قوات الأمن الجزائرية أنها قامت بإلقاء القبض على جاسوس إسرائيلي متهم بعمله بجهاز الموساد الإسرائيلي بمدينة حاسي مسعود الواقعة بالجنوب الجزائري بعد مرور عشرة أيام على دخوله البلاد مستخدماً جواز سفر أسباني مزور.
وأفادت التقارير الواردة أن العميل المتهم دخل الجزائر قادماَ من برشلونة خلال الشهر الماضي. و خلال كل تلك المدة الماضية، قامت العديد من الصحف الإخبارية بنشر تقارير خاصة بالتحقيق و البحث في عملية خطف مزعومة للإسرائيلي القادم بجواز السفر اسباني من قبل تنظيم القاعدة.
و بالرغم من ذلك أفاد موقع مراسل برشلونة إشارة الإعلام الإسرائيلي على أن ذلك الجاسوس المزعوم كان قد طلب منه في وقتٍ لاحق إجراء اتصالاً هاتفياً بعائلته في إسرائيل بهدف وقف الشائعات بأنه كان قد تعرض للخطف في وقتٍ سابق.
و ما زال العميل المزعوم تحت الحجز بالجزائر العاصمة من أجل إجراء المزيد من التحقيقات.
Algerian security forces say they have captured an alleged Israeli spy working for the Mossad in the Southern Algerian town of Hassi Messaoud ten days after he entered the country on a fake Spanish passport.
According to reports, the alleged agent entered Algeria from Barcelona last month. During this time several newspapers reported the investigation of an alleged abduction of an Israeli with a Spanish passport by Al Qaeda.
However, the Barcelona Reporter says that Israeli media indicated that the alleged spy was later ordered to phone his family in Israel to dispel rumors that he had been abducted.
The alleged agent is being held in Algiers pending further investigation.

Senator Kerry describes Syria’s role as pivotal to revive peace
أكد السيناتور الأميركي جون كري أن إدارة الرئيس باراك أوباما تعتبر دمشق لاعباً رئيسياً في الجهود التي تبذل لتنشيط عملية السلام في منطقة الشرق الأوسط عقب لقائه الرئيس السوري بشار الأسد في دمشق.
كيري، وهو رئيس لجنة الشؤون الخارجية في مجلس الشيوخ، أكَّد أيضا على أن الإدارة الأمريكية ترغب في الحوار مع دمشق، على الرغم من اختلاف في بعض المواقف بين البلدين.
في سياق آخر، قالت مصادر حكومية أمريكية أن إدارة أوباما تأمل في إرسال السفير الجديد إلى سوريا في اسرع وقت ممكن "لانها تريد حضورا أميركيا على مستوى السفير في دمشق لإبقاء الرئيس الأسد على اطلاع على آخر المواقف الأميركية كي لا يسيء تقدير أو يسيء فهم سياستها الإقليمية، كما حصل في السابق".
US Democratic Senator John Kerry said, after his meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Asad in Damascus, that the Administration of President Barack Obama considers Damascus a key player in the efforts being made to reinvigorate the peace process in the Middle East region.
The Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee also stressed that the US Administration is willing to dialogue with Damascus, despite the two countries’ disagreements over some issues.
In another context, U.S. Government sources said that the Obama Administration hopes to send a new ambassador to Syria as soon as possible, " because it wishes for an American presence at the level of ambassador in Damascus to keep President al-Asad updated with the latest US positions in order not to misevaluate or misunderstand its regional policy, as was the case in the past."
الانتخابات العراقية: الصدر يستفتي لاختيار رئيس الوزراء و الحكيم يرجح كفة علاوي
Iraqi elections: Al-Hakim advocates Allawi while al-Sadr holds referundum to elect prime minister
قرر التيار الصدري (نسبة إلى زعيمهم مقتدى الصدر) في العراق تنظيم استفتاء شعبي بين العراقيين لاختيار مرشح التنظيم لتشكيل الحكومة الجديدة حيث ضمت القائمة خمسة مرشحين بينهم إياد علاوي زعيم القائمة العراقية ونوري المالكي رئيس الوزراء المنتهية ولايته.
و كانت القائمة العراقية قد حلت في المركز الأول في الانتخابات بفارق مقعدين عن قائمة نوري المالكي، الأمر الذي جعل الطرفين في سباق من أجل توفير الأغلبية اللازمة لتشكيل الحكومة.
من جهة أخرى أكد رئيس المجلس الأعلى الإسلامي العراقي عمار الحكيم الفائز بالمرتبة الثالثة أن قائمته لن تشارك في الحكومة إلا بوجود قائمة اياد علاوي.
The Sadrist movement, named after its leader Muqtada Al-Sadr, in Iraq holds a referendum for Iraqis to choose their candidate to form the new government. The list included five nominees, including Iyad Allawi, Iraqi leader of al-Iraqiya Party, and Nuri Al-Maliki, the outgoing prime minister.
Al-Iraqiya party ranked first place in the elections outdoing al-Maliki’s slate with two-seat difference, which made the two parties race to provide the required majority to form the government.
On the other hand, the leader of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Ammar al-Hakim, who won the third position stressed that his slate will not take part in the government unless Allawi's slate does.

شنت طائرات حربية إسرائيلية فجر الجمعة 2 نيسان/أبريل سلسلة غارات على أهداف مختلفة من قطاع غزة أدت لإصابة ثلاثة أشخاص وتدمير مصنع أجبان وورشة حدادة وعدة منازل.
وأكد متحدث عسكري اسرائيلي الهجمات واصفاً إياها بأنها رد على إطلاق صاروخ فلسطيني سقط في اسرائيل يوم الخميس لكنه لم يتسبب في إصابات وأنها استهدفت مصنعين لتصنيع الأسلحة ومخزنين للسلاح.
Israeli warplanes launched a series of raids on targets in the Gaza Strip at dawn on Friday leaving three people injured and a cheese factory and several homes in ruins.
An Israeli military spokesman confirmed the attacks, describing them as a response to a Palestinian rocket that landed in Israel on Thursday. Israel said the attacks had targeted factories producing weapons.

Crude oil price hits 18-month high despite strong dollar
ارتفعت أسعار النفط إلى أعلى مستوى منذ 18 شهرا أمس الخميس لتحطم نطاقات تداول سابقة وتجذب تدفقات جديدة من المستثمرين مع بداية الربع الثاني من العام.
وصعدت الأسعار رغم قوة الدولار وهو ما يكون عادة سببا في قلة الإقبال على السلع الأولية و رغم أنباء عن زيادة أخرى في مخزونات النفط الخام الأميركية.
و ارتفع الخام الأميركي بعدما سجل أعلى مستوى أمس عند 84.70 دولار وأغلق عند 83.76 دولار للبرميل يوم الأربعاء مسجلا أعلى مستوى إغلاق منذ أكتوبر 2008
Oil prices rose to an 18-month high on Thursday, despite the strong dollar and a further increase in US crude oil stocks.
The price broke above previous trading ranges sparking a burst in investment at the beginning of the second quarter, even as the dollar strengthened - usually the cause of low demand in primary commodities.
American Crude Oil price rose after having reaching the highest record yesterday at $84.70 and closing at $83.76 a barrel on Wednesday, scoring the highest closing price since October 2008.

طلب وزير الخارجية الروسي سيرغي لافروف من رئيس المكتب السياسي لحركة حماس خالد مشعل أن تتوقف الحركة المسيطرة على قطاع غزة عن اطلاق الصواريخ على اسرائيل، وكان ذلك خلال اتصال هاتفي بين لافروف ومشعل.
وذكر الموقع الرسمي لوزارة الخارجية الروسية الذي نشر الخبر تأكيد مشعل أن الحركة ستتخذ كافة الإجراءات لمنع إطلاق صواريخ من القطاع على إسرائيل وأضاف أن الحركة تعمل على اتخاذ إجراءات تحول دون إطلاق الصواريخ من غزة.
و حسب البيان، فقد أدان مشعل أيضاً العمل الإرهابي الذي ضرب مترو الأنفاق في موسكو، كما قدم تعازيه لأهالي الضحايا.
Hamas is working to prevent further rocket attacks on Israel following demands from Moscow, according to Russia's foreign ministry.
Hamas Political Bureau chief Khaled Mashaal told Russia's foreign minister the movement was taking measures to stop missile strikes after Sergei Lavrov called them 'unacceptable' in a telephone conversation.
Mashaal also used the call to condemn Monday's terror attack on the Moscow subway that killed 39 people, expressing his condolences for the victims' families.

Washington calls for 4-month Israeli settlement freeze to kick start direct negotiations
قالت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية أن الولايات المتحدة اقترحت على إسرائيل تجميد الاستيطان في القدس الشرقية لمدة أربعة اشهر مقابل مفاوضات مباشرة مع السلطة الفلسطينية لاستئناف عملية السلام المعطلة.
و اقترحت الإدارة الأمريكية على إسرائيل أن توقف أعمال البناء في القدس الشرقية و في الأحياء اليهودية أربعة اشهر مقابل أن تضغط الولايات المتحدة على رئيس السلطة الفلسطينية محمود عباس لبدأ مفاوضات مباشرة مع نظيره الإسرائيلي نتنياهو.
و كانت خلافات حادة قد نشبت بين الولايات المتحدة و إسرائيل عقب إعلان الأخيرة عن مشروع بناء مستوطنات جديدة شرق القدس إبان زيارة نائب الرئيس الأمريكي.
The United States has called on Israel to freeze Jewish settlements in East Jerusalem for four months in return for direct negotiations with the Palestinian Authority to resume the stalled peace process, Israeli media reported.
The Obama administration would put pressure on the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to start direct negotiations with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu if Israel stopped all construction in East Jerusalem for four months.
The move follows a heated spat between the US and Israel after the Jewish state announced a plan to build new settlements in East Jerusalem during the visit of US vice president Joe Biden.

يرتقب أن يجتمع زعماء المعارضة السودانية اليوم، لاتخاذ قرار نهائي بشأن مقاطعة الانتخابات.
و كان مرشح الرئاسة للحركة الشعبية لتحرير السودان -التي تطالب بحق تقرير المصير للجنوب- قد أعلن انسحابه من السباق الانتخابي.

The presidential candidate of the Sudane People's Liberation Movement - which promulgates Southern Sudan’s right to self-determination - has declared his withdrawal from the election.
Sudan, a country suffering sectarian division between the Muslim North and the Christian South, was organizing its first local and legislative elections between the 11th and the 13th of April, for the first time since 1986, but the opposition now threatens to boycott the ballot.

ذكرت محطة ABC News الأمريكية أن عالماً نووياً إيرانياً استقر في الولايات المتحدة وبدأ بالعمل مع وكالة الاستخبارات الأمريكية CIA بعد اختفاءه في حزيران/يوليو الماضي بعد أيام فقط من وصوله إلى مكة لأداء فريضة الحج.
ووفقاً لمصادر لم يذكر اسمها، بدأ التواصل بين الاستخبارات والعالم شهرام أميري في إيران، حيث سافر بعد ذلك للعمل معهم بمحض إرادته.اتهمت إيران الـولايات المتحدة حينها بخطف العالم بالتعاون مع الاستخبارات السعودية.
ويعتقد بأن أميري قدم معلومات مهمة للولايات المتحدة حول بناء منشأة ثانية لتخصيب اليورانيوم قرب مدينة "قم"، المنشأة التي عمل بها قبل فراره للولايات المتحدة.
An Iranian expert nuclear scientist has resettled in the US and started working with the CIA following his disappearance last June just days after arriving in Mecca as a pilgrim, according to ABC News.
According to unnamed officials, the CIA first made contact with Shahram Amiri in Iran, and he willingly went to work with them. Iran accused the US of kidnapping the scientist, in collaboration with Saudi intelligence.
It is believed that Amiri gave the US vital information about the construction of a second uranium enrichment plant near Qom having worked at the site before his defection to the US.

التقى وليد جنبلاط، رئيس الحزب الاشتراكي التقدمي اللبناني بالرئيس بشار الأسد لأول مرة منذ ست سنوات وكان هذا اللقاء ثمار حملة تم إطلاقها منذ سنتين لاستعادة رضا الرئيس الأسد مرة أخرى.
وامتدح جنبلاط الأسد لمواقفه اتجاه لبنان و"حرصه على أمنه واستقراره" مثمنا الجهود التي قام ويقوم بها "لتوطيد علاقات التعاون بين البلدين".
وكان جنبلاط قد وجه هجوما شديدا للرئيس السوري منذ ثلاث سنوات ونعته بأوصاف مثيرة للاستياء بيد أنه عاد واعتذر في وقت مبكر من الشهر الحالي.
Walid Jumblatt, leader of Lebanon’s Progressive Socialist Party, has met with Syrian president Bashar al-Assad for the first time in six years, following a two-year campaign to improve relations with Damascus.
Jumblatt praised Assad for his stance towards Lebanon, lauding his “keenness on its security and stability,” and his attempts to “improve cooperation ties between the two countries.”
Jumblatt had been known for his public criticism of the Syrian president before he apologised for his incendiary comments earlier this month.

قد تصبح بلجيكا أول بلد أوربي يمنع النقاب، وذلك إثر تصويت لجنة مؤثرة في مجلس النواب بالإجماع يوم الأربعاء على حظر ارتدائه في جميع الأماكن العامة.
ولن تطبق مسودة القانون هذه، والتي تحظى بدعم كل الأحزاب السياسية في الحكومة البلجيكية، إلا بعد تأكيد التصويت عليها في كل البرلمان خلال وقت لاحق من الشهر المقبل.
Belgium could become the first European country to outlaw the niqab after an influential committee of lawmakers voted unanimously on Wednesday for a nationwide ban in public spaces.
The draft law, which has the support of all political parties in Belgium’s government, will not take effect until it passes a vote in the full house that is scheduled for next month.
فرنسا: مجلس الدولة الفرنسي يعتبر حظر النقاب مخالفا للدستور الفرنسي
France: French State Council considers the ban on the Niqab as unconstitutional
قال مجلس الدولة الفرنسي و هو هيئة استشارية، إنه لا يوجد أي سند قانوني لفرض حظر تام على ارتداء النقاب في البلاد، معتبرا أن حظر ارتدائه كليا غير دستوري.
و كان رئيس الحكومة الفرنسية قد طلب استشارة المجلس لتلافي أي نقض يمكن أن يصدر عن المجلس نفسه أو عن المجلس الدستوري لقانون صادر عن البرلمان الفرنسي يمنع ارتداء النقاب.
يذكر أن إحصائيات وزارة الداخلية تعد نحو 2000 امرأة ترتدي النقاب في فرنسا بينهن أكثرية من الفرنسيات. ويدعو القانون المراد تطبيقه إلى اتخاذ إجراءات ردعية بحق الرجال الذين يلزمون نساءهم أو فتياتهم على ارتداء النقاب، كما ينص على تحميل المرأة المخالفة غرامة مالية يمكن أن تصل إلى 700 يورو.
The French State Council, an advisory body, said that there is no legal basis for a total ban on wearing the veil in the country, saying that it is unconstitutional to completely ban it.
The French Prime minister consulted the council to avoid a veto by the State Council, the Constitutional Council, against any decision made by the French Parliament regarding the veil ban.
It is worth mentioning that statistics of the Ministry of the Interior speak of about 2000 women wearing the veil in France.
The draft law which is being suggests forbids men from imposing the veil on their wives and daughters. It also charges the woman who breaks it with a 700 euros fine.

و قد شكل صدور الرواية (التي بيع منها ثلاث ملايين نسخة) منذ قرابة خمسة عشر عاماً حدثاً أدبياً في العالم العربي، واعتبر ظاهرة في مجال الرواية العربية من حيث قيمتها الأدبية خاصة أنها ترجمت إلى عدة لغات أجنبية.

The series will be aired during Ramadan on Abu Dhabi TV and will be directed by Najdat Anzour, starring the famous Syrian actor Jamal Suleiman.

في حديث مع موقع آراب نيوز، ذكر أحد أساتذة اللغة الإنجليزية السعوديين في مدرسة أهلية بارزة أنه وأقرانه ينتظرون الحصول على رواتبهم المتأخرة وعلى عقودهم كما يأملون أن تتحسن ظروف عملهم مضيفا أن مطالبهم يتم تجاهلها.
ووفقا للمعلم الساخط، فإن إدارة المدرسة تسعى لطرد الأساتذة السعوديين والاستعانة بمعلمين أجانب تكون الإنجليزية هي لغتهم الأم معمنحهم مرتبات أعلى .
ويُذكر أن العديد من الاساتذة قد تركوا وظائفهم بينما ينتظر الباقون ماإذا كانوا سيحصلون على ما وعدتهم به الإدارة عند تعيينهم أم لا.
Saudi English professors at a prominent public school in the country are waiting in limbo for back salaries, contracts and better working conditions, said one of the teachers in an interview with Arab News.
According to the disgruntled teacher, the administration was looking to import high salaried native English speakers and fire the Saudi professors.
Several teachers have since left but others remain to see if they will get what they were promised when hired.

Lebanese campaign group IndyACT launches comic series to fight sexual harassment
أطلقت منظمة IndyACT (اتحاد الناشطين المستقلين) اللبنانية اليوم حملة "مغامرات سلوى" الهادفة لمحاربة كل أشكال التحرش الجنسي عبر زيادة الوعي لدى جميع فئات المجتمع وحث الفتيات على التحدث عن تجاربهم وتشجيعهم على الرد وعدم السكوت أو الخوف.
ولتحقيق هذه الأهداف، تم إطلاق هذه الحملة على شكل رسومات هزلية وبالفيديو أيضاً، وتم استخدام كل وسائل الاعلام المتاحة بمافيها الإعلام الجديد كـفيس بوك والمدونات وتويتر. الفيديو الأول للحملة والذي تم نشره عبر يوتيوب يظهر الشخصية الرئيسية "سلوى" تضرب رئيسها في العمل بعد تصرف غير ملائم منه. سيتم أيضاً تنظيم لقاءات دورية تساعد على التحدث عن هذه التجارب وكيفية التعامل مع المتحرشين.
يتم العمل حالياً أيضاً على موقع وكتيب خاص بالحملة يساعد على التواصل وتبادل الأفكار ونشرها للعموم إضافة لتنظيم "يوم سلوى" في محافظات لبنان المختلفة.
أما الهدف النهائي للحملة فهو حث الحكومة اللبنانية على فرض "عقوبات جزائية" تُجرّم التحرش الجنسي وتحمي من يتعرض له.
A Lebanese rights group is upping the ante in the fight against sexual harassment with a hard-hitting comic series for young people.
The self-named League of Independent Activists or IndyACT says "The Adventures of Salwa" campaign will tackle all forms of sexual harassment by increasing awareness across society. The group wants young women to challenge their fears and speak out about their experiences.
The campaign includes a comic video posted on social media sites which shows the lead character hitting her boss for his inappropriate behavior.
IndyACT will also organize regular meetings to help discuss young people's experiences and how to deal with harassment.
It says its ultimate goal is to urge the Lebanese government to impose tough penalties criminalizing sexual harassment and protecting victims.

Sorcery and witchcraft could be deemed a criminal offence in Bahrain if a new draft law outlawing the practice gets the king’s approval.
On Monday, Bahrain’s Shura Council approved an additional article that would allow judges to hand down harsh sentences including jail terms for those caught violating the law.
In the past, human rights groups have accused countries like Saudi Arabia, where a similar law was passed, of creating a witch-hunt to arbitrarily detain individuals.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has arrived to Ankara for talks with her Turkish counterpart Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Merkel's two-day visit is to focus on Iran, the peace process in the Middle East, Turkey's efforts to join the European Union and the bilateral trade and cultural relations.
Merkel affirmed to Turkish and German media last week that she was still in opposition to a full Turkish accession to the EU, and that she would rather have a "privileged partnership" with the country.

من جهته وصف مساعد الرئيس الباكستاني السابق مشرف، التقرير "بمجموعة الأكاذيب"، و أضاف في تصريح لقناة باكستانية: أن الرئيس السابق غير مسؤول بأي شكل من الأشكال عن مقتل بوتو.
و قتلت بوتو في هجوم انتحاري استهدف تجمع انتخابي يوم 27 ديسمبر 2007 بعد أيام من عودتها إلى باكستان بعد سنوات قضتها في المنفى.
A report by the committee in charge of investigating the murder of former Pakistani prime minister, Benazir Bhutto, indicated that the Pakistani authorities failed to protect her and that the subsequent investigation was not objective.
On the other hand, the assistant of Pakistan's former President Musharraf, described the report as a bunch of lies, adding in a statement to a Pakistani station that the former president is not responsible for Bhutto's death in any way possible.
Benazir Bhutto was killed in a suicide attack which targeted an election rally on December 27, 2007, a few days after her return to Pakistan from years of exile.

صفحة زعيم القاعدة أطلقت عليه لقب "أمير المجاهدين" و جلبت أكثر من ألف معجب، رغم أن تاريخ إنشاءها لا يتجاوز الشهر.
يذكر أن مكافأة قدرها 16 مليون دولار وضعت لمن يدل على زعيم تنظيم القاعدة الذي يعتقد انه مختبئ في المنطقة الجبلية الواقعة بين باكستان وأفغانستان.
Recently on Facebook a page was created and attributed to Al-Qaeda leader, Osama bin Laden. The page includes recordings and speeches made by Islamic extremists and produced by Al-Sahab Media Production which is close to Al Qaeda.
Bin Laden's Facebook page, in which he is described as the Prince of Mujahideen, has attracted more than one thousand visitors in less than a month.
A reward of 16 million dollars was promised to whoever gives information regarding Al-Qaeda leader, who is believed to be hiding in the mountainous area located between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Israeli President Shimon Perez has accused Syria of supplying Hezbollah with long-range scud missiles.
Syria has adamantly denied the accusations, saying they were "fabrications".
Perez' remarks are highly damaging for Syria, whose relationship with the US had been improving in recent months following a new US ambassador being appointed to Damascus.

صرحت قوات الأمن الجزائرية أنها قامت بإلقاء القبض على جاسوس إسرائيلي متهم بعمله بجهاز الموساد الإسرائيلي بمدينة حاسي مسعود الواقعة بالجنوب الجزائري بعد مرور عشرة أيام على دخوله البلاد مستخدماً جواز سفر أسباني مزور.
وأفادت التقارير الواردة أن العميل المتهم دخل الجزائر قادماَ من برشلونة خلال الشهر الماضي. و خلال كل تلك المدة الماضية، قامت العديد من الصحف الإخبارية بنشر تقارير خاصة بالتحقيق و البحث في عملية خطف مزعومة للإسرائيلي القادم بجواز السفر اسباني من قبل تنظيم القاعدة.

Algerian security forces say they have captured an alleged Israeli spy working for the Mossad in the Southern Algerian town of Hassi Messaoud ten days after he entered the country on a fake Spanish passport.
According to reports, the alleged agent entered Algeria from Barcelona last month. During this time several newspapers reported the investigation of an alleged abduction of an Israeli with a Spanish passport by Al Qaeda.
However, the Barcelona Reporter says that Israeli media indicated that the alleged spy was later ordered to phone his family in Israel to dispel rumors that he had been abducted.
The alleged agent is being held in Algiers pending further investigation.

أكد السيناتور الأميركي جون كري أن إدارة الرئيس باراك أوباما تعتبر دمشق لاعباً رئيسياً في الجهود التي تبذل لتنشيط عملية السلام في منطقة الشرق الأوسط عقب لقائه الرئيس السوري بشار الأسد في دمشق.
كيري، وهو رئيس لجنة الشؤون الخارجية في مجلس الشيوخ، أكَّد أيضا على أن الإدارة الأمريكية ترغب في الحوار مع دمشق، على الرغم من اختلاف في بعض المواقف بين البلدين.
في سياق آخر، قالت مصادر حكومية أمريكية أن إدارة أوباما تأمل في إرسال السفير الجديد إلى سوريا في اسرع وقت ممكن "لانها تريد حضورا أميركيا على مستوى السفير في دمشق لإبقاء الرئيس الأسد على اطلاع على آخر المواقف الأميركية كي لا يسيء تقدير أو يسيء فهم سياستها الإقليمية، كما حصل في السابق".
US Democratic Senator John Kerry said, after his meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Asad in Damascus, that the Administration of President Barack Obama considers Damascus a key player in the efforts being made to reinvigorate the peace process in the Middle East region.
The Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee also stressed that the US Administration is willing to dialogue with Damascus, despite the two countries’ disagreements over some issues.
In another context, U.S. Government sources said that the Obama Administration hopes to send a new ambassador to Syria as soon as possible, " because it wishes for an American presence at the level of ambassador in Damascus to keep President al-Asad updated with the latest US positions in order not to misevaluate or misunderstand its regional policy, as was the case in the past."

قرر التيار الصدري (نسبة إلى زعيمهم مقتدى الصدر) في العراق تنظيم استفتاء شعبي بين العراقيين لاختيار مرشح التنظيم لتشكيل الحكومة الجديدة حيث ضمت القائمة خمسة مرشحين بينهم إياد علاوي زعيم القائمة العراقية ونوري المالكي رئيس الوزراء المنتهية ولايته.
و كانت القائمة العراقية قد حلت في المركز الأول في الانتخابات بفارق مقعدين عن قائمة نوري المالكي، الأمر الذي جعل الطرفين في سباق من أجل توفير الأغلبية اللازمة لتشكيل الحكومة.

The Sadrist movement, named after its leader Muqtada Al-Sadr, in Iraq holds a referendum for Iraqis to choose their candidate to form the new government. The list included five nominees, including Iyad Allawi, Iraqi leader of al-Iraqiya Party, and Nuri Al-Maliki, the outgoing prime minister.
Al-Iraqiya party ranked first place in the elections outdoing al-Maliki’s slate with two-seat difference, which made the two parties race to provide the required majority to form the government.
On the other hand, the leader of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Ammar al-Hakim, who won the third position stressed that his slate will not take part in the government unless Allawi's slate does.

وأكد متحدث عسكري اسرائيلي الهجمات واصفاً إياها بأنها رد على إطلاق صاروخ فلسطيني سقط في اسرائيل يوم الخميس لكنه لم يتسبب في إصابات وأنها استهدفت مصنعين لتصنيع الأسلحة ومخزنين للسلاح.
Israeli warplanes launched a series of raids on targets in the Gaza Strip at dawn on Friday leaving three people injured and a cheese factory and several homes in ruins.
An Israeli military spokesman confirmed the attacks, describing them as a response to a Palestinian rocket that landed in Israel on Thursday. Israel said the attacks had targeted factories producing weapons.

ارتفعت أسعار النفط إلى أعلى مستوى منذ 18 شهرا أمس الخميس لتحطم نطاقات تداول سابقة وتجذب تدفقات جديدة من المستثمرين مع بداية الربع الثاني من العام.
وصعدت الأسعار رغم قوة الدولار وهو ما يكون عادة سببا في قلة الإقبال على السلع الأولية و رغم أنباء عن زيادة أخرى في مخزونات النفط الخام الأميركية.
و ارتفع الخام الأميركي بعدما سجل أعلى مستوى أمس عند 84.70 دولار وأغلق عند 83.76 دولار للبرميل يوم الأربعاء مسجلا أعلى مستوى إغلاق منذ أكتوبر 2008
Oil prices rose to an 18-month high on Thursday, despite the strong dollar and a further increase in US crude oil stocks.
The price broke above previous trading ranges sparking a burst in investment at the beginning of the second quarter, even as the dollar strengthened - usually the cause of low demand in primary commodities.
American Crude Oil price rose after having reaching the highest record yesterday at $84.70 and closing at $83.76 a barrel on Wednesday, scoring the highest closing price since October 2008.

وذكر الموقع الرسمي لوزارة الخارجية الروسية الذي نشر الخبر تأكيد مشعل أن الحركة ستتخذ كافة الإجراءات لمنع إطلاق صواريخ من القطاع على إسرائيل وأضاف أن الحركة تعمل على اتخاذ إجراءات تحول دون إطلاق الصواريخ من غزة.
و حسب البيان، فقد أدان مشعل أيضاً العمل الإرهابي الذي ضرب مترو الأنفاق في موسكو، كما قدم تعازيه لأهالي الضحايا.
Hamas is working to prevent further rocket attacks on Israel following demands from Moscow, according to Russia's foreign ministry.
Hamas Political Bureau chief Khaled Mashaal told Russia's foreign minister the movement was taking measures to stop missile strikes after Sergei Lavrov called them 'unacceptable' in a telephone conversation.
Mashaal also used the call to condemn Monday's terror attack on the Moscow subway that killed 39 people, expressing his condolences for the victims' families.

و اقترحت الإدارة الأمريكية على إسرائيل أن توقف أعمال البناء في القدس الشرقية و في الأحياء اليهودية أربعة اشهر مقابل أن تضغط الولايات المتحدة على رئيس السلطة الفلسطينية محمود عباس لبدأ مفاوضات مباشرة مع نظيره الإسرائيلي نتنياهو.
و كانت خلافات حادة قد نشبت بين الولايات المتحدة و إسرائيل عقب إعلان الأخيرة عن مشروع بناء مستوطنات جديدة شرق القدس إبان زيارة نائب الرئيس الأمريكي.
The United States has called on Israel to freeze Jewish settlements in East Jerusalem for four months in return for direct negotiations with the Palestinian Authority to resume the stalled peace process, Israeli media reported.
The Obama administration would put pressure on the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to start direct negotiations with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu if Israel stopped all construction in East Jerusalem for four months.
The move follows a heated spat between the US and Israel after the Jewish state announced a plan to build new settlements in East Jerusalem during the visit of US vice president Joe Biden.

An Iranian expert nuclear scientist has resettled in the US and started working with the CIA following his disappearance last June just days after arriving in Mecca as a pilgrim, according to ABC News.
According to unnamed officials, the CIA first made contact with Shahram Amiri in Iran, and he willingly went to work with them. Iran accused the US of kidnapping the scientist, in collaboration with Saudi intelligence.
It is believed that Amiri gave the US vital information about the construction of a second uranium enrichment plant near Qom having worked at the site before his defection to the US.

التقى وليد جنبلاط، رئيس الحزب الاشتراكي التقدمي اللبناني بالرئيس بشار الأسد لأول مرة منذ ست سنوات وكان هذا اللقاء ثمار حملة تم إطلاقها منذ سنتين لاستعادة رضا الرئيس الأسد مرة أخرى.
وامتدح جنبلاط الأسد لمواقفه اتجاه لبنان و"حرصه على أمنه واستقراره" مثمنا الجهود التي قام ويقوم بها "لتوطيد علاقات التعاون بين البلدين".
وكان جنبلاط قد وجه هجوما شديدا للرئيس السوري منذ ثلاث سنوات ونعته بأوصاف مثيرة للاستياء بيد أنه عاد واعتذر في وقت مبكر من الشهر الحالي.
Walid Jumblatt, leader of Lebanon’s Progressive Socialist Party, has met with Syrian president Bashar al-Assad for the first time in six years, following a two-year campaign to improve relations with Damascus.
Jumblatt praised Assad for his stance towards Lebanon, lauding his “keenness on its security and stability,” and his attempts to “improve cooperation ties between the two countries.”
Jumblatt had been known for his public criticism of the Syrian president before he apologised for his incendiary comments earlier this month.

قد تصبح بلجيكا أول بلد أوربي يمنع النقاب، وذلك إثر تصويت لجنة مؤثرة في مجلس النواب بالإجماع يوم الأربعاء على حظر ارتدائه في جميع الأماكن العامة.
ولن تطبق مسودة القانون هذه، والتي تحظى بدعم كل الأحزاب السياسية في الحكومة البلجيكية، إلا بعد تأكيد التصويت عليها في كل البرلمان خلال وقت لاحق من الشهر المقبل.
Belgium could become the first European country to outlaw the niqab after an influential committee of lawmakers voted unanimously on Wednesday for a nationwide ban in public spaces.
The draft law, which has the support of all political parties in Belgium’s government, will not take effect until it passes a vote in the full house that is scheduled for next month.

France: French State Council considers the ban on the Niqab as unconstitutional
قال مجلس الدولة الفرنسي و هو هيئة استشارية، إنه لا يوجد أي سند قانوني لفرض حظر تام على ارتداء النقاب في البلاد، معتبرا أن حظر ارتدائه كليا غير دستوري.
و كان رئيس الحكومة الفرنسية قد طلب استشارة المجلس لتلافي أي نقض يمكن أن يصدر عن المجلس نفسه أو عن المجلس الدستوري لقانون صادر عن البرلمان الفرنسي يمنع ارتداء النقاب.
يذكر أن إحصائيات وزارة الداخلية تعد نحو 2000 امرأة ترتدي النقاب في فرنسا بينهن أكثرية من الفرنسيات. ويدعو القانون المراد تطبيقه إلى اتخاذ إجراءات ردعية بحق الرجال الذين يلزمون نساءهم أو فتياتهم على ارتداء النقاب، كما ينص على تحميل المرأة المخالفة غرامة مالية يمكن أن تصل إلى 700 يورو.
The French State Council, an advisory body, said that there is no legal basis for a total ban on wearing the veil in the country, saying that it is unconstitutional to completely ban it.
The French Prime minister consulted the council to avoid a veto by the State Council, the Constitutional Council, against any decision made by the French Parliament regarding the veil ban.
It is worth mentioning that statistics of the Ministry of the Interior speak of about 2000 women wearing the veil in France.
The draft law which is being suggests forbids men from imposing the veil on their wives and daughters. It also charges the woman who breaks it with a 700 euros fine.

ذكر مسئولون مغاربة أنه سيتم إنشاء مشروع جديد لاستغلال الطاقة الشمسية بتكلفة تبلغ تسعة مليارات دولار. وسيساعد المشروع البلاد على الحد من انبعاثاتها من الغازات الدفيئة وتقليص اعتمادها على الطاقة المستوردة إذ سيوفر المشروع حوالي 38% من احتياجاتها منها.

في حديث مع موقع آراب نيوز، ذكر أحد أساتذة اللغة الإنجليزية السعوديين في مدرسة أهلية بارزة أنه وأقرانه ينتظرون الحصول على رواتبهم المتأخرة وعلى عقودهم كما يأملون أن تتحسن ظروف عملهم مضيفا أن مطالبهم يتم تجاهلها.
ووفقا للمعلم الساخط، فإن إدارة المدرسة تسعى لطرد الأساتذة السعوديين والاستعانة بمعلمين أجانب تكون الإنجليزية هي لغتهم الأم معمنحهم مرتبات أعلى .
ويُذكر أن العديد من الاساتذة قد تركوا وظائفهم بينما ينتظر الباقون ماإذا كانوا سيحصلون على ما وعدتهم به الإدارة عند تعيينهم أم لا.
Saudi English professors at a prominent public school in the country are waiting in limbo for back salaries, contracts and better working conditions, said one of the teachers in an interview with Arab News.
According to the disgruntled teacher, the administration was looking to import high salaried native English speakers and fire the Saudi professors.
Several teachers have since left but others remain to see if they will get what they were promised when hired.

Lebanese campaign group IndyACT launches comic series to fight sexual harassment
أطلقت منظمة IndyACT (اتحاد الناشطين المستقلين) اللبنانية اليوم حملة "مغامرات سلوى" الهادفة لمحاربة كل أشكال التحرش الجنسي عبر زيادة الوعي لدى جميع فئات المجتمع وحث الفتيات على التحدث عن تجاربهم وتشجيعهم على الرد وعدم السكوت أو الخوف.
ولتحقيق هذه الأهداف، تم إطلاق هذه الحملة على شكل رسومات هزلية وبالفيديو أيضاً، وتم استخدام كل وسائل الاعلام المتاحة بمافيها الإعلام الجديد كـفيس بوك والمدونات وتويتر. الفيديو الأول للحملة والذي تم نشره عبر يوتيوب يظهر الشخصية الرئيسية "سلوى" تضرب رئيسها في العمل بعد تصرف غير ملائم منه. سيتم أيضاً تنظيم لقاءات دورية تساعد على التحدث عن هذه التجارب وكيفية التعامل مع المتحرشين.
يتم العمل حالياً أيضاً على موقع وكتيب خاص بالحملة يساعد على التواصل وتبادل الأفكار ونشرها للعموم إضافة لتنظيم "يوم سلوى" في محافظات لبنان المختلفة.
أما الهدف النهائي للحملة فهو حث الحكومة اللبنانية على فرض "عقوبات جزائية" تُجرّم التحرش الجنسي وتحمي من يتعرض له.
A Lebanese rights group is upping the ante in the fight against sexual harassment with a hard-hitting comic series for young people.
The self-named League of Independent Activists or IndyACT says "The Adventures of Salwa" campaign will tackle all forms of sexual harassment by increasing awareness across society. The group wants young women to challenge their fears and speak out about their experiences.
The campaign includes a comic video posted on social media sites which shows the lead character hitting her boss for his inappropriate behavior.
IndyACT will also organize regular meetings to help discuss young people's experiences and how to deal with harassment.
It says its ultimate goal is to urge the Lebanese government to impose tough penalties criminalizing sexual harassment and protecting victims.

Sorcery and witchcraft could be deemed a criminal offence in Bahrain if a new draft law outlawing the practice gets the king’s approval.
On Monday, Bahrain’s Shura Council approved an additional article that would allow judges to hand down harsh sentences including jail terms for those caught violating the law.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has arrived to Ankara for talks with her Turkish counterpart Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Merkel's two-day visit is to focus on Iran, the peace process in the Middle East, Turkey's efforts to join the European Union and the bilateral trade and cultural relations.
Merkel affirmed to Turkish and German media last week that she was still in opposition to a full Turkish accession to the EU, and that she would rather have a "privileged partnership" with the country.
