التقى جلالة الملك عبدالله الثاني امس الاثنين الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة بان كي مون وبحث معه عددا من القضايا الإقليمية والدولية، خصوصا الجهود المبذولة لحل الصراع الفلسطيني الإسرائيلي على أساس حل الدولتين، الذي يضمن قيام الدولة الفلسطينية المستقلة التي تعيش بأمن وسلام إلى جانب إسرائيل، في إطار إقليمي يضمن تحقيق السلام الشامل وفق قرارت الشرعية الدولية، والمرجعيات المعتمدة.
واستعرض جلالته وأمين عام المنظمة الدولية آخر التطورات في المفاوضات الفلسطينية الإسرائيلية المباشرة، التي انطلقت في العاصمة الأميركية واشنطن بداية الشهر الحالي، وأكدا ضرورة استمرار العمل من أجل إيجاد البيئة الكفيلة لتحقيق تقدم ملموس وسريع في هذه المفاوضات.

The majesty king Abdullah met the US general secretary BAN KEY MON on Monday and discussed with him a number of the regional and international issues, especially the efforts to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on the basis of the tow-state solution which guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state living in peace and security alongside Israel in a regional framework ensures the achievement of the comprehensive peace according to the international legitimacy resolutions and the approved references.
His majesty and the general secretary of the international organization discussed the latest developments in the Israeli-Palestinian direct negotiation which began earlier this month in the American city Washington and they emphasized on the necessity of the work continuity in order to find a suitable environment to achieve a fast and tangible progress in these negotiations.
