The most important determinant of a country’s future prosperity is its ability to achieve and maintain high productivity levels. In their pursuit of higher prosperity, several countries across the world are embracing competitiveness as a framework for improving their national growth and development. Government policies have considerable influence on the productivity performance of their countries and can provide an environment for proactively enhancing it.
