ذابت الثّلوج في قمم الجبال و سالت إلى السّفوح جداول وغدران

The snows melted atop the mountain peaks
And poured as streams and brooks down the slopes

وانبلج الفجر عن ماس دافق يلثم براعم العشب
ويمسح برفق على وريقات الزّهر

Dawn revealed crystal droplets, tenderly kissing the grass blades
And gently soothing the flower petals

وتدلّت عناقيد النّدى من أجفان الورد
و..الشّمس تسلّلت وشاح نور بين الاغصان

Clusters of dew hung from the eyelids of roses
And sunrays infiltrated the branches as a veil of light

أتاني الصّباح حاملا بين دفّتيه رسائل من ضفاف النّهر

Morning came to me carrying letters from the banks of the river

نقشنا في المنعرجات ألف ضحكة و على الصّخور ألف ابتسامة

We engraved a thousand laughter on the winding paths
And printed a thousand smiles upon the rocks

وصلنا إلى مروج كانت تنتظرنا بلهفة وحنين

We reached meadows that were eagerly and longingly awaiting us

جلستُ و قد اعتدت الجلوس وحدي مع عوالم السّماء
النّائمة على صفحات الغدير

And as always, I sat alone with the heavenly worlds
that were reposed upon the bosom of the rill
