The Poet
Songs taught you how in towns to wander
And then wash their walls from the dust of finger
Or whenever tears flow on an inclining wall,
You would adjust it at once and bend over
Songs use you to tempt the desperate and flower
And here you are…loving all women in one..
You have been taught by the town…
How to spray love through windows.. a house after another
But.. non of the women opened the door to hug you,
Nor did any town teach you to enter into it as a lover.
So, you soared high over all towns.. and then fell down.
Oh, poet… whenever storm blows its twister..
You stand up to it firm and never recline.
